Booking policy

Booking Policy

We are keen to provide digital access spaces for those with no alternative, or suitable place to study.  We are still required to keep our users and our staff safe.  We therefore have only a very limited number of spaces available and time slots and days available are limited.

  • Digital access spaces must be booked in advance.
  • Only one person can book any one time slot, though more than one slot in the day may be booked.
  • Spaces are available to be booked 09.00-12.00 and 13.00-17.00, Monday-Friday.  Only one time period on any one day can be booked at a time.
  • Only computers in computer lab A8 (Lerwick campus) can be used.  Note that all other computer labs (and study spaces in the Library) remain closed to all but timetabled classes.
  • Students should register their details with Test and Protect on entry to the College building.
  • All students are responsible for cleaning the computer, desk, and chair before and after use using the wipes provided.
  • Headphones, or headsets, are not be provided (for hygiene reasons).  If students intend to use the digital access space for online classes you must bring your own headphones.
