General information

  • Funded by : The Open University and JISC
  • Supported by :  Open Science MOOC; Open AIRE; Microsoft ; academic institutions including UHI 
  • Finds open access content from e.g. institutional and subject repositories; open access and hybrid journal publishers
  • You can use the Core search box instead of the browser extension to find articles
  • The browser extension searches automatically and shows you what it is doing and what it has found

Where to find it

  • Can be used in Chrome
  • Can be used in FireFox
  • Can be used in Opera
  • Search for it under 'Core Discovery'

Using the search box

The search box is at : https://core.ac.uk/

  • You can search using words in the title, or words relating to the subject. 
  • Once you have the results (as PDF articles) from the basic search you can refine them in the advanced search
