Copyright protects the work of all creators including authors, photographers, artists and film makers and stops people using their work without their permission. As a student/researcher you will probably use books, films, music and other works that have been created by others. You may have bought these, found them online or borrowed them from the library. These works will all be subject to copyright legislation.
