The library plays a crucial role in your academic journey. Along with providing access to a wider range of resources and tools, there is expert support available to assist your learning, study skills and personal goals.  

Our services include access to a wide range of services and resources including books, eBooks, electronic journals, multimedia and resource lists. The service comprises physical library space and digital spaces for study.

Whether you are an FE student beginning your studies or an HE student progressing your expertise, the library team can support you with suitable guidance and resources. After working through the pages in this guide you will have an understanding of the main services and resources on offer, along with information on who to contact if you need help or support. The library team is here to help so please utilise their skills and advice throughout your course.

Competition Rules: 

  • Valid UHI student email (@uhi.ac.uk) required for entry
  • Each student is eligible to win only one Larry the Llama plushie ⁠
  • Download the extension (if you haven't already)
  • Competition ends on 12th December 2025. Six winners will be randomly selected from valid entries and notified via their UHI email address week beginning 15th December 2025. 
  • Privacy Notice: Your email will only be used if you win.
