Implementation

The findings of systematic reviews/metanalyses are often worked up by bodies such as the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) (opens on new window) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (opens in new window) into clinical guidelines.  These move us into the territory of behavioural science - eg how is change affected and how is the guidance implemented?  This is a whole field of study on its own - even having its own journals eg Implementation Science (opens in new window).
