Module Resource Lists (Students)

A guide to using your online Talis Resource Lists

Reading intentions

To help organise your reading, you can assign a reading intention to each item on your list by clicking the circle icon next to it. The available options are:

  • Undecided
  • Will read
  • Reading now
  • Have read
  • Won’t read

Once selected, the icon will change to reflect your choice. You can then filter the list to show only items from a specific category, making it easier to track your progress.

Personal notes

Talis allows you to add personal notes to any item on your reading list. These notes are:

  • Private - only visible to you

  • Accessible from both the list itself and your Talis Aspire profile

Click the three dots on the right-hand side of the item and select 'Personal note' from the dropdown menu.

You can also use the filter at the top of the list to view only items that include personal notes.

Exporting lists

You can export your reading list in a few different formats:

  • PDF document
  • Word document
  • CSV file: compatible with Excel and Google Sheets
  • PDF bibliography
  • RIS: Reference Manager Export

To do this, click the ‘View and Export’ menu at the top of your list and choose your preferred format.
