When browsing the internet off-campus for a journal / newspaper article or eBook, you might not know which articles/websites you have access to through your library.
Access feature enables you to easily identify e-resources which you have access to through UHI library.
You'll see a pop-up asking if you want to access the resource through UHI.
Click "Get Access", and you'll be smoothly redirected to log in.
Once you're authenticated, you're good for the rest of your browsing session!
If UHI doesn't have access to a resource on one site, Lean Library searches for it on other platforms where we do have access. Simply click on 'Access Article' button and you will be re-directed to the full-text UHI subscription

Considering buying a book on Amazon? Lean Library will check if UHI has an eBook version available.

Sometimes, the content you need isn't in UHI's collection. Lean Library automatically searches for legal, open-access versions of articles. If it finds one, you'll get a pop-up with a direct link to the free version.

When you search on Google Scholar, the extension recognises that you're associated with UHI, even when you're off-campus. "Full Text" links will appear next to articles accessible through the UHI subscriptions; simply click on these links to access them.
You can also search UHI library catalogue and JSTOR database whenever you are searching in Google Scholar that's 3 searches in one! But first enable the Additional Library Search in your extension tools:

Now you can see results alongside your Google Scholar Search and one click takes you straight to the full text in UHI's system:
