Alternatively, take a note of the shelfmark (e.g. 741.95 DOW) and go along to the library and find the book on the shelf.  The books are arranged by subject using the Dewey Decimal system (except for the Highland Health Sciences Library which uses the National Library of Medicine system). The books are arranged in numerical order, with books on similar subjects shelved together. The shelves will be labelled to help you locate the right section, and library staff are always happy to guide you.
