Coronavirus Updates: Further information about library services across UHI being regularly updated.
Updated: 19 January 2021
There are now four computers available, for advanced bookings only, to Shetland College students for study purposes.
Bookings can be made for essential purposes only. Computers are available 09.00 - 12.00 and 13.00-17.00 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
You must book a digital access space in advance. Bookings can be made up to 1 week in advance and spaces can be booked for the following time periods: 09.00-12.00 or 13.00-17.00 on Mondays and Wednesdays. You can only book a space for one time period on any one day and bookings can only be made for essential purposes only e.g. you have no computer at home, or connectivity at home isn't good.
Multisearch is the library's search engine. It provides a 'Google-like' way to find many of UHI Libraries' print and online resources at the same time. The process of finding information from both the physical and online collections has become so much simpler.
With just one search you can find print books, ebooks, newspaper articles, ejournal articles, conference proceedings and more. The results are listed in order of relevance to your search and you can filter and focus your search by publication format, date, location, language etc.
Click on the Multisearch title above to start searching.
Due to Covid-19 we are currently not permitting the browsing of books on the shelves.
To make use of this service please check the catalogue, or Multisearch, for resource availability and complete the online form (you can also use the button below). Alternatively you can email requests to firstname.lastname@example.org. For each resource we need to know the title; first author name or editor name; publication year or edition. Please use your college / UHI email so we can identify you.
Book requests will be processed as soon as possible and you will be notified by email when you can collect the books.
